Route an Official Request
Use the named court on the citation, notice, order, or pleading. A Circuit civil or criminal docket belongs with the Circuit Clerk. A Chancery, Youth Court, probate, family, or land-related court file begins with the Chancery Clerk. Justice Court traffic, civil, or criminal matters go to the Justice Court Clerk. City traffic and ordinance matters begin with the municipal court clerk. A no-result search should be followed by a request to the court that owns the file.
- Docket or case search: see the court-specific docket search routes.
- Court date: read the notice or citation, then use the court schedule and confirm with the clerk.
- Certified copy: ask the owning clerk for current charges, required identification, and delivery methods.
- Case-file questions: use the route explained under court case records.
